He invents a machine, the FLDSMDR (Food, Weather, Universal, Gravitational, Device, Machine), that can create weather patterns out of food. His goal? What makes Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs so special is that it’s a story about dreaming big, even if your dreams involve something as ridiculous as edible weather. It’s about the relationship between a father and son, and how sometimes, you just need to embrace the crazy to truly connect.
